As every client’s primary contact, Yuri Corbin’s cheerful and patient yet direct approach is the backbone of Poole Law Center.

Yuri’s broad experience prepared her for managing Poole Law Center with the apparent ease she exhibits. Graduating with a bachelor’s in business administration with an additional certificate in human resources and hospitality management, Yuri previously managed multiple hotels and restaurants in the US and Mexico. Having navigated the US immigration process herself, Yuri fully understands clients’ angst at agency delays and the exhilaration of case wins. Yuri is an active member of the State Bar of Texas Paralegal Division, maintaining annual continuing legal education. When not working, Yuri volunteers with her church and spends time with her spouse and extended family in the Houston area.

Attorney Melody Poole

Melody remains fascinated by the varied ways her extended family came together in the United States and enjoy helping others with their own journey to the US--be it temporary or permanent, whether joining family or pursuing opportunity. With current technology, clients near and far receive access to personalized, professional legal assistance.Melody earned her juris doctorate and Texas bar admission in 2008, and immediately dove into a diverse caseload at Lone Star Legal Aid, the 3rd largest free legal aid provider in the US. In 2014, she drew on her University of Houston Law Center clinical training in founding Poole Law Center.

In addition to helping clients navigate complex immigration laws, Melody is passionate about enriching the law as a profession. As a Director on the State Bar of Texas Immigration and Nationality Law Section, she enjoys serving with an amazingly dedicated and talented group of immigration attorneys and collaborating with other sections to provide programming and resources for the advancement of the profession. As Chair of the Texas Supreme Court’s Grievance Oversight Committee, she feels privileged to work with a diverse group of attorneys and public members to meet with stakeholders all across the state reviewing the Texas attorney discipline system. As a member of the Alvin Community College Advisory Board, Melody enjoys endless inspiration from fellow board members and students alike of the dedication and vision that transformation and growth require.

Melody is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and Texas Bar College. Melody previously served in multiple roles for the Galveston County Young Lawyers, Galveston County Bar Association, and on a District Grievance Committee. Locally, Melody serves in her daughter’s school, their church, and community. When not working or volunteering, you can find her with her family - likely on or near the water.
