As every client’s primary contact, Yuri Corbin’s cheerful and patient yet direct approach is the backbone of Poole Law Center.

Yuri’s broad experience prepared her for managing Poole Law Center with the apparent ease she exhibits. Graduating with a bachelor’s in business administration with an additional certificate in human resources and hospitality management, Yuri previously managed multiple hotels and restaurants in the US and Mexico. Having navigated the US immigration process herself, Yuri fully understands clients’ angst at agency delays and the exhilaration of case wins. Yuri is an active member of the State Bar of Texas Paralegal Division, maintaining annual continuing legal education. When not working, Yuri volunteers with her church and spends time with her spouse and extended family in the Houston area.

Melody remains fascinated by the many paths that brought her extended family together in the United States and enjoys helping others navigate their own journeys—whether temporary or permanent, reuniting with family or pursuing new opportunities. Through technology, she provides clients near and far with accessible, personalized legal representation. Melody earned her Juris Doctor and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2008, immediately immersing herself in a diverse caseload at Lone Star Legal Aid, one of the nation's largest nonprofit legal aid providers. In 2014, drawing on her clinical training at the University of Houston Law Center Immigration Clinic, she founded Poole Law Center.

Beyond helping clients navigate complex immigration laws, Melody is passionate about strengthening the legal profession. As Chair-Elect of the State Bar of Texas Immigration and Nationality Law Section, she serves alongside an exceptionally dedicated and talented group of immigration attorneys, collaborating across sections to develop educational programming and resources that advance the profession. As a member of the Alvin Community College Paralegal Program Advisory Committee, she is continually inspired by the dedication and vision required to foster meaningful transformation and growth.

Melody is a Sustaining Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and an Honored Endowment Fund Scholar of the Texas Bar College. Her longstanding commitment to professional service includes leadership roles with the Galveston County Young Lawyers Association, Galveston County Bar Association, and District Grievance Committee, as well as serving as Chair of the Texas Supreme Court's Grievance Oversight Committee. Closer to home, Melody volunteers with her daughter's school, their church, and the community, often alongside her daughter through the National Charity League. When she's not working or volunteering, you'll likely find her enjoying time with her family—preferably on or near the water.
